WELCOME

Does anyone else think that the opening to anything, an email, text, blog post, is the hardest? This being the first blog post, I want it to be smooth, not at all-awkward, definitely not overly formal to the point of sounding like a proclamation or decree. Anyways...hiya pals!

Great, glad we got that over with.

Allow me to officially welcome you to the Redhead & Asian blog! As I (Janelle, the Asian) am writing this, I am envisioning this blog to foster a community where people of all backgrounds support each other, looking past superficial features. It is my promise to you to consistently, frequently, regularly post on this page!

We want this to be an extension of our podcast (which if you are not subscribed to, stop, go subscribe, and maybe you'll come back). Often, topics of discussion on our podcast are so important to us, we wish the discussion could last a little longer (maybe forever). Thankfully, we realize the limitations of one's attention span so we try to be concise (you'll have to thank Steph's editing skills for that). Therefore, it is on this blog that I will be adding extra pizazz and sprinkles to our episodes so you'll definitely want to follow both blog and podcast to know what's up.

So what now? Well, after an introduction, description of purpose, I think it's time to wrap up this post. If memory serves me right, my English classes since elementary school have taught me to end with a call-to-action when appropriate. Hence, call-to-action: stay tuned!
