On February 13th, it was World Radio Day! In our most recent episode, I took a walk down memory lane talking about my experience in the world of radio. I grew up having a radio personality for a father so I had a front row seat to behind the scenes of how the radio runs.
Fun fact: I was on the radio for the first time at the age of 2.
Another fun fact: I just celebrated 9 years on the air with my own radio show. Yes, I have a radio show. For the past 9 years, I’ve taken a look back at the early days of Rock’n’Roll. Playing some of the greatest hits from the 50s to the 80s.
The radio is something fun and creative that I do to keep me sane because we all need something like that in our lives. Little piece of advice for today.
Anyways, radio is something that has been around for a few decades bringing entertainment to all those who listen. The radio is always with us when we are in the car. Sometimes it can be in your house (maybe your grandparent’s house). Radio brings you news, entertainment, sports, etc. It may not be as popular as it was in previous decades but it will be there for you. I hope that when you listen to this episode you can remember moments from your childhood listening to the radio. Maybe I can dare you to listen to the actual radio the next time you are in the car.
Peace,
Stephanie
